A Japan Airlines (JAL) Review from a First-Timer

As I embark on my Vietnam adventure – it begins with my first leg of the flight to Tokyo and my first experience with Japan airlines.

This airline does not disappoint. They start off strong – with the friendliest flight attendants, top technology, soft blankets, back pillows and warm towelettes for your hands and face.  Did I mention this is all in coach?

Add on the fact that the food was excellent with a wide array of snacks, spirits and teas and I realized I would be hard pressed to travel coach with anyone else again. See some highlights below:

Goodbye window shutter! Dimmer for plane windows allow you to lighten and darken the window tint!
Food is excellent. Quinoa with nuts and fruit, soba noodles with seaweed and soy sauce, hot miso soup, salad, bread, chicken with herb potatoes and sake to wash it down.
Cabin is quiet and serene with automatic dimming after meals and calm lighting in the aisles.
